My visual research led me in this period through different experiences. I continued to work on the development of paintings in which I explore the relationship between shape, colour and composition. Postmodern architecture, as well as classic forms of modernism are there to suggest what is left behind the shiny or decayed surfaces.
The viewer is confronted with seemingly calm and banal images and with the questions: “How are we supposed to get ‘behind the curtains’ of what is seems to be a systematical production of surfaces which is not predetermined to be fully revealed?”. “Can we decipher it?”
